PokerStars All Star Week

23/07/2010 16:27

You’ve already gathered from my earlier entries that players use the PokerStars bonus code because of the top notch customer support and interesting promos. A promotion happening now is the PokerStars All Star Week, happening every day next week. The upcoming week will see 35 heads-up matches between Team PokerStars Pro and a group of Challengers that must win a satellite to qualify. Have I convinced you to use those Internet slots another time? I doubt it, so keep reading and perhaps it will cause a change of heart.

By offering $25,000 to play for, PokerStars is demonstrating that they are one of the top Texas Holdem sites online. Every day during All Star Week, there will be five different heads-up matches. The winner of each match will receive $1,000 and a win for their team. At the end of it all, if Team PokerStars Pro has won more games, they will split the $25k prize pool. If the Challengers have won more matches, they will split the prize pool instead.

The site will be asking some of its elite players to take a break from Daniels Room poker to play on the team of Challengers. The team is selected via five freerolls, and each satellite awards five or six spots. To play in these freerolls, you must have final tabled a major PokerStars tournament in 2009 or you have to be a Supernova Elite. To give more incentive in these freerolls, each qualifier will also be given a free seat in a WCOOP tournament worth $1,050. The World Championship of Online Poker is likely to occur September of this year. If you’re a fan of deposit bonuses, take note that there will probably be a new PokerStars bonus code at the start of the events.

If you don’t qualify for the satellite freerolls, you can play in an $11 Wildcard tournament. If you place in the top 3 of this event, you will earn their spot as a Challenger and, of course, get that WCOOP ticket.

Once you have finally made it to the Challenger team, you must then qualify to play in the heads-up match. Once you win a given tournament against your fellow Challengers, you will be eligible to play the heads-up match against the PokerStars Team Pro during All Star Week. Members of the Challenger team also go up against each other for the Most Valuable Player award by scoring as many points as possible. Players receive one point for entering a qualification tournament, three points for finishing first in one of these tournaments, and then five points for beating one of the Pros during the big week. If you’re comfortable sitting at tables in casinos for US players, it will be a piece of cake to enter as many tournaments as possible to rack up those points.

There will be at least one heads-up match for every type of poker, so All Star Week is reaching out to all players that have used a PokerStars bonus code. Also keep in mind that if you did not manage to qualify to play with the Challengers this year, you will have another chance next year. To ensure your spot in the freerolls, it would be a good idea to spend less time in Mac compatible casinos and more time entering large tournaments. Best of luck!
